Most people mix the production of sticks with that of chips. We all know that chips are prepared with frying. We are well acquainted with the harm caused by frequent use of fried foods. But the good news is that Zajo-Bajo sticks are produced by using completely different technology without frying.

The production of this kind of products is called extruding by using special machines – extruders. Grounded grains with certain stoutness are put into the extruder and then the real process begins. When the grounded grains are inside the machine so called screw conveyor under the friction pressure it gets consistency of dough which “is kneaded well enough”. This process is carried out in closed surroundings under high pressure and temperature. At the screw conveyors exits there are openings through which the hot dough is expanded, i. e. it rises several times its size. This process is identical to baking, so in this way we get the typical porous structure of the stick. After this procedure the sticks are sprinkled with vegetable oil and at the end they are powdered with seasons, which give the characteristic flavour of every product.

Since 2001 “Sani-Kons” company has been using in all its products only natural colourings. Natural colourings are known to be derived mainly from plants.

Preservatives are added to stabilize a product at microbiological level. The excessive consumption of foods containing preservatives harms one’s health. All our products do not contain any preservatives.

While we are on diet we strive for decreasing the calories absorbing and to avoid foods which are prepared in harmful cooking conditions – such as frying, preserving and so on. Zajo-Bajo sticks successfully enter the list of these requirements. For example, a packet of Zajo-Bajo natural contains 226 Kcal and can be eaten for about 15-20 min. The feeling of satisfaction reaches our sense perceptions for about 20 min after the feeding process began. So taking a bite of Zajo-Bajo we can be fully satisfied and at the same time to answer our chewing instinct without taking too much calories.
