The Erasmus Programme (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme established in 1987. Erasmus+, or Erasmus Plus, is the new programme combining all the EU’s current schemes for education, training, youth and sport, which was started in January 2014.
The students from secondary school “Dr. Petar Beron” Pernik are working on the Erasmus+ project, where they have different activities with their peers from five European countries – Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Cyprus and Turkey. The main goal and theme of the project is the professional orientation of young people and their future realization. In terms of project aims they had to present a prosperous company – company from their region, and it was no coincidence that their choice was the “Sani Kons” company, which produces the so-loved and familiar to all children product “Zayo Bayo”. The owners of the company Todorovi were kind enough to give a special interview in which they talked about the long and difficult way of the private business in Bulgaria, as well as outlining the basic qualities that each young person must possess in order to fulfil his professional dreams.
As part of the project work, all foreign partners visited Pernik have participated in a pre-prepared program. An important part of it was the organized and sponsored by the Todorovi family show for both the hosts and the foreign guests. The event was attended by the Masters of Dance and Children’s Voice Group “Arlekino”. The rich musical program has enabled foreign guests not only to get acquainted with Bulgarian folklore, but also to take an active part in studying the basic steps typical for some Bulgarian Folk Dances.
